Get cash reimbursement for meals and snacks served to the children in your child care home! If you are a licensed or TrustLine child care provider caring for children in your home, you are eligible to participate on the Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). There is no cost to participate.

You can be reimbursed for serving two meals and one snack or one meal and two snacks, per child, per day, including your own children if you are income eligible and daycare children are present.   The USDA sets the reimbursement rates (see below) and meals must meet the USDA Meal Pattern requirements.

The USDA sets the reimbursement rates and may adjust them by a small amount annually, on July 1, according to changes in the cost-of-living.

There are two different rates at which providers may be reimbursed: Tier I rates or Tier II rates. The rate at which Providers are reimbursed is determined by geographic data, their household income, and/or the household income of the children in their care.
